Sports Medicine | University of British Columbia

As the world focused on the Olympics in Rio, CMAJ visited the Allan McGavin Sports Centre at the University of British Columbia to hear the views of some current and future opinion leaders in Canadian Sports Medicine: Dr Don McKenzie, was just about the set off for Rio where is he closely involved with the Olympic canoe and kayak team; Dr Jack Taunton has worked with countless Canadian Olympic teams through the years and was Chief Medical Officer for the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010 and; Dr Prema Gopie the current Fellow and Rob Drapala who recently completed his Fellowship, look to the future.
